It is with great sadness that we share the loss of our dear friend and colleague Morgan Dunn.

Morgan has been part of the Coda family for the better part of a decade. In the early days he began as one of our sommeliers; his wine knowledge and palate were exceptional.

We watched as Morgan balanced full time work and studying wine, all whilst completing a degree or two at Melbourne University.
His work ethic was unbeatable.
He developed a particular interest in wine writing and judging, becoming a regular contributor to The Australian newspaper wine column, and earning many awards for his excellence in journalism.

Despite Morgan’s very busy career he was always there for us, he even moved to the coast to help us open @codalorne . Morgan and his family were an integral part of our Coda Lorne experience.

We will always cherish our relationship with Morgan. We remember him for his brilliant sense of humour, his humility and his incredible intelligence.

Morgan was absolutely adored. It’s no surprise that he was born to a remarkable family, and we are sending them all of our love.

Bringing a fresh new take on contemporary Indian cuisine with his own culinary freedom and a focus on seasonality and great traditional flavours from the heart of the tandoor.

At Coda we’re thrilled to have Hendri Budiman continue to lead our kitchen team with his dynamic cooking style, and innovative vision.

With our menus the best they’ve ever been we can’t wait to welcome you again soon.
