WILLIAM DOWNIE NEW VINTAGE RELEASE LUNCH AT TONKA
Born and raised in Gippsland, William Downie is a reference for minimal intervention, especially when we talk about Pinot Noir in Australia. After spending several harvests in Burgundy, he came back home and established his own label in 2003.
To celebrate the release of the new vintage William will host an exclusive wine lunch on Sunday 25th February from 12pm at Tonka.
This is your opportunity to taste a few of the most elegant and pure Pinot Noirs of Australia along with a food menu curated by our Head Chef Ricardo Galindo.
Chargrilled Fremantle octopus with badam puree
Wuxy Style duck, pine nuts and allium salad
Beef tartare butti with caramelised shallot yoghurt
Tandoor spatchcock with kachumber and labne
Scotch fillet with pickled stone fruit and bone marrow tadka
String beans chaat, mint yoghurt and tamarind chutney
Pappadums and rice
Wash rind cheese
